Objective: A digital portrait of Keith Haring, inspired by the artist’s life and work.
Design Approach: The image uses black lines and bold, solid colour blocks to stay true to Haring’s style, while offering a unique, illustrative feel of its own. The vibrant colour palette and whimsical line work suggest a lighthearted, joyful feeling, however the expression on the subject’s face and the halo around his head hint at a darker reality surrounding an artist who lived and died amidst the AIDS crisis in New York City.
